Why get connected?

While the Sunday services are exciting and enlightening, let's face it, you don't get much time to REALLY CONNECT with people. If you're looking for more action, camaraderie, a sense of belonging…. it's probably going to happen in one of two ways (and definitely if you do both!) You're going to want to join one of our Small Groups and/or serve in one of our Ministries. We offer all kinds of groups and opportunities to get YOU connected with the people who have YOUR similar PASSIONS and INTERESTS. Our Small Groups and Ministries range from seriously FUN to super SPIRITUAL and everything in between. You'll find it's in the context of these smaller groups that everyone gets supported and encouraged through life's many highs and lows. In the process, you end up growing closer to God and CONNECTING with your extended family.

So what is a Small Group?

A group of people who meet at times other than Sunday morning services. Groups can meet at the church, at a home, at a bowling alley, at a restaurant - basically anywhere. The idea is - you already have some PASSIONS or INTERESTS in life, why not do them with NHV? This is also a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to join you. So what are Ministries?

These are important roles that support the church and its members and sometimes even the city around us. They are usually all done on a volunteer basis. Serving in a Ministry gives you a great sense of personal fulfillment when you see the difference you can make. And Jesus wasn't kidding when He said it's more blessed to give than to receive.
