About Us | What We Believe

Our Vision

We believe that by Drawing Closer to God in true devoted worship, He restores wholeness in our lives. We are then able to Grow Stronger with each other and become the mature, unified Christ-followers we were created to be. As a result, we begin Living Louder in the world around us. We become effectual with our friends and neighbors who are just an invitation away from a life-changing encounter with their Lord and Savior.

Our Method

We believe Everyone Should Get to Play. There are no spectators in the game of life at NHV. We were all created with a special purpose and certain talents needed to complete the Body of Christ. So we help everyone to get plugged in and involved.

We also strive to continually shine a bright light on biblical insights that help everyone in their growth and development.

Our Core Values

• The Bible | It's the menu not the meal.
• Jesus and the Holy Spirit | We hold to a Trinitarian theology with the Holy Spirit as the administrator of the church.
• Relationships | Real community and an open environment.
• The Individual | We value the individual by creating an environment of grace, and one where everyone 'gets to play'.
• Healing | We believe healing is God's general will; and it should be practical in a 'naturally supernatural' way.
• The Kingdom of God | We engage ourselves in Kingdom activities because we are part of a Kingdom that is 'already and not yet'.

Our Beliefs (simplified)

We at NHV embrace the historical views of our faith.

We believe God created the universe and that He has always existed in three persons of one substance, the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit, all of them equal in power and glory.

We believe God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to this earth to be crucified on a cross so that final payment for our mistakes could be made. This we call salvation.

We believe salvation is a gift of God's mercy and that we can't earn it by the ‘good' things we do. We do however have to receive this salvation by personal faith in Jesus Christ. This faith is later visible to others by the things we do that are pleasing to God.

We believe that by trusting in what Jesus did for us, we are made right with God and we are now able to discover the true meaning and purpose for our lives.

We believe the Holy Spirit is given to those who trust in Jesus as their Savior. His purpose is to enable us to live the life we were created for.

We believe that Jesus rose from the dead after He was dead for 3 days and He's coming back to restore order to His creation.

We believe the Bible (Old and New Testaments) reveal these truths (and many more) because it is God's revelation to mankind.
